    Instructions
    1
Log in to your Facebook account.

    2
Click the "Account" menu, then select "Privacy Settings."

    3
Click "Edit Your Settings" under "Applications and Websites."

    4
Uncheck the box next to "Enable Public Search."

The account menu is that little arrow next the home tab. it may take a bit for the whole thing to register in and no longer show you on facebook.

Thank you! It's amazing, I went into that and tried to adjust everything but ignored that specific option lol.

Problem! The box was already unchecked so I checked it then unchecked it again, and tried to search me and nothing changed!!! I hate Mark Zuckerberg!

It could still be an issue with it taking time to register, though since it was unmarked before that's highly unlikely. Your best bet then would be to contact support or someone that works in facebook.

How do you find their email address? When I went to their support page, they refuse to show a contact email but rather try to answer your question badly.

wow I just learned facebook has the most unnecessarily complicated support system. From what i can figure out your best is to go into that support page again, click somethings not working, find a section that's similiar to your promblem and click on it, like the privacy doesnt work section. Then the only you can do is either report it or something like that. Hope that helps somehow, I'm still trying to make heads or tails of this.

They really just need a simple email or number to use for this.

Thanks, that's why I kinda quit trying with them. They make it too hard to try and fix it. But thanks anyway.

Easy. Don't use your name on Facebook.
