    In today's Weekly Standard:

"It's worth recalling that a GOOD CHUNK OF THE 47 PERCENT WHO DON'T PAY TAXES-----------ARE ROMNEY SUPPORTERS —especially of course seniors (who might well "believe they are entitled to heath care," a position Romney agrees with),

as well as many lower-income Americans (INCLUDING MEN AND WOMEN IN THE MILITARY) who think conservative policies are better for the country even if they're not getting a tax cut under the Romney plan.

So ROMNEY SEEMS TO HAVE CONTEMPT not just for the Democrats who oppose him, but FOR TENS OF MILLIONS WHO INTEND TO VOTE FOR HIM."

And even Kristol's final begrudged endorsement of Romney makes it clear that

ROMNEY WAS NO ONE'S FIRST CHOICE !

Kristol writes "It remains important for the country that Romney wins in November (unless he chooses to step down and we get the Ryan-Rubio ticket we deserve!).

What's that again? "UNLESS HE CHOOSES TO STEP DOWN" !

I love the biased interpretation of this editorial from Bill Kristol -- not like the vast majority of American voters are listening to Kristol anyway. What I took away from the article is that Kristol wasn't pleased with either candidate, which is no real shocker since he's still disgruntled -- first that Ryan didn't run for President, and second that Rubio isn't on the ticket. Regardless, he did end the editorial with...

"But that shouldn't blind us to the fact that Romney's comments, like those of Obama four years ago, are stupid and arrogant.

Indeed: Has there been a presidential race in modern times featuring two candidates who have done so little over their lifetimes for our country, and who have so little substance to say about the future of our country?"

Kristol's dislike of the Obama presidency, and his fears of the possibility of another 4 years, are hardly a big secret to anyone who follows him. Kristol's editorial from yesterday was equally two-sided...

    Good Point, CJAZ.

Bill Kristol was the political operative who brought us SARAH PALIN .

BUT in this editorial, his displeasure with President Obama was not a surprise...

.......it was his DISGUST WITH ROMNEY THAT WAS NOTEWORTHY.

Ryan at the head of the ticket would be easier to nail. Romney can disavow Ryan's budget and try to slip thru. Ryan couldnt. Ryan was a real mistake for the ticket.

Rich Lowry of National Review(the other uber con site)

    nails Romney with this:

"The overall impression of Romney at this event is of someone who overheard some conservative cocktail chatter and maybe read a conservative blog or two, and is thoughtlessly repeating back what he heard and read. "

I am very fine with the government giving BACK to me what I paid through taxes and Social Security all my life. These programs aren't "hand outs." They're deferred payments.

Let's just hope they're around when I retire.

    Amen.
The SS trust fund is OUR money.
The Repubs need to keep their filthy hands off of it.
It's not a piggy bank for them to raid to pay off the Reagan/Bush debt.

The rich Repubs who call SS an "entitlement" program derisively - as if people recieving SS benefits are unworthy people who think they're entitled to something they don't deserve - are truly despicable.
When people receive SS benefits - they're getting THEIR OWN MONEY back.

And yet these same rich Repubs think it's appropriate for a multi-millionaire like Mitt Romney to recieve a $77,000 tax exemption for his dressage horse - when the average American yearly income is only $50,000.
