Downloading right now, too. Though gonna take longer, either because of my slower connection speed, or server glut at the moment.

Crepe. I accidentally did today when I plugged in my phone. Didn't realize it was "New." I never, never, never, never upgrade an operating system for at least two months after it comes out. Or more depending on the flak.

Since I was plugged into the computer, I also acceded to downloading all of the accumulated app updates. For some reason, it went batshit and started downloading four instances of all of them. It was redlining the modem for about two hours.

I haven't noticed anything broken yet, though I haven't phoned much. There is yet another useless (?) inbox in the mail, called "VIP." Apparently you can add people who are too important to ignore into your VIP list. As if... icon_rolleyes.gif

I downloaded it. The download was quick, but it took forever to install.

Ya for some reason browsing on wifi is a bit faster. Siri can now find local businesses in Canada.

Downloaded to my 4S, doing the iPad now. Don't notice much difference so far, except every app wants to know if it can use my present location and give me push notifications, choices I had made with the previous iOS which apparently don't transfer over.

Siri may be a little more accurate, difficult to know. Haven't figured out how to use Passbook.

The map seems a little slow to load. Got something into the Passbook, but don't know how to load another. Is there a way to get Artists in the music player to sort according to last name instead of first? (Always a jolt to see my own name listed) The iPad is reloading every one of my thousands of photos, still in progress, I presume because of higher resolution?

I upgraded earlier today, but ran out of storage space so I wiped my music. Slight hiccup with getting it installed. Stuck at 99%. Turned phone off, on, it ran updates and now I'm iOS 6 enabled. Vector maps are much faster than the previous Google Maps app.

Some features won't work with the iPhone (Siri, Turn by Turn Directions, Camera Panorama), but my 5 will be here in a few weeks! icon_smile.gif

WOW, my iPad photo storage nearly doubled, up to almost 30GB. I hear the next iPad will have memory up to 128 or 256 gig, I may need it, getting nearly full at 64.

On the bright side, the spell check in Safari seems to be working much better. It's about time!

You can get turn-by-turn directions on any iphone through motionX apps and probably others. Just realize that in urban areas their effectiveness can sometimes be limited by lags caused by overloads in the cellular data network. e.g. "Prepare to turn right." "Now turn right" can be pretty clear if you're out in the boonies where the roads are miles apart. If they're 100 or 200 feet apart, it all gets very ambiguous. On the other hand, if the app "speaks" the exact name of the street that you are to turn on, it could be a big improvement.

TomTom provided the mapping data and navigation software. So if you've used a TomTom device before, it should feel pretty familiar.

I got it yesterday. meh, 200 new features.. I don't really see any new features other than a new layout for certain apps. And you can't use Siri's location service in Denmark yet.
