I agree, Denver and Seattle are the two US cities that I've never been that I have a strong desire to go to

I lived there for a year and a half and loved it. Only drawback was the altitude sickness my first month or so there (I had been living below sea level before transferring there).

My roommate loved Seattle when he went. Have always wanted to live there for some reason. icon_biggrin.gif

I lived there for four years. Its a nice city. Don't expect anything too cosmopolitan but the weather is great and the rocky mountains are just a couple of hours away.

It seems to be pretty common for those who haven't been to Denver to have misperceptions of what the city is actually like. I've been many places and lived in cities big and small, and I find Denver to be the most livable city of them all. There's a good balance - it's kind of a big city but also easy to get away. There are cultural venues as well as recreational ones. People are pretty active and friendly. Nightlife is decent, depending on what you're into. The weather can be pretty unpredictable, but it's not nearly as snowy as the mountains.

Almost moved to Denver over San Diego 2 years ago. Im sure I would have been just as happy there; great town and state!
