    Hey guys-

So I've been lifting a lot the past few months and been working really hard in the gym...

So yesterday I went to the dr, got some blood drawn in my right arm, and then a few hours later went to the gym to do a bicep/chest workout...(stupid I know right?)... had a stabbing pain in my elbow (forearm part of the elbow- where they draw blood from)... figured it was related to the blood being drawn so I stopped my workout, went home and figured I would do the workout the next day...

So today, I go to the gym after resting all day etc... SAME pain. It's brutal. It hurts SOOO bad. I got through a few exercises and then just had to stop. It's a throbbing pain, kind of feels like its being stabbed, and I'm having a hard time even lifting the smallest things.

Just wondering if anyone could offer any advice, insight as to what it might be, home remedies, etc...? I understand I need to rest for a week or so, but I don't want to lose all my progress... I'm icing it as we speak but it's not really helping...

    Thanks guys!

I had that problem. Doctor told me not to lift weights for 24 hours after getting blood drawn.

    I stupidly went.

I'd never experienced such shooting paint in my entire life. went up and down my arm.

took three days to get over it.

now I wait that 24 hours hahaha

I don't know why it hurt so much but it did and lesson learnt I wait

Taking one week off from lifting will not cause you to lose all your progress. You will probably come back stronger after the short break.

If you mentally can't handle a week out of the gym, then go in and do leg work on the machines. That way you won't be lifting anything with your arms, not even a single plate.

But really, rest can be very beneficial.
