adenovirus/stomach bacteria

    I am hoping our members could comment on this emerging research and the relationship to weight(overweight and lean).
    Yes- the energy equation still applies: calories in. calories out. eat less and be active.
    The issue is complex to say the least.

    Adenovirus: "Most infections with adenovirus result in infections of the upper respiratory tract. Adenovirus infections often show up as conjunctivitis, tonsilitis (which may look exactly like strep throat and cannot be distinguished from strep except by throat culture), an ear infection, or croup. Adenoviruses can also cause gastroenteritis (stomach flu)."

    Interesting: I assume you're talking about studies like this one reported in scientific american I'll have to read that paper next time I'm at the library.

    Of course, if a real cause-and-effect relationship is established, it raises the frightening spectre that having sex with a fat person might, in turn, make you fat! If only it worked the other way around.
