It's hopeful that a few lonely voices in the Repub party are stating the fact that tax cuts for the rich are not only debt-creating - they also fail to create strong economic or job growth.

    Fact-based studies have found that:
    http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/09/21/888981/report-expiration-of-high-end-bush-tax-cuts-would-have-little-effect-on-economic-growth/?mobile=wp

And the facts of the historical record prove it too.
The Bush tax cuts have been in place for 11 years now - and we all know that the past 11 years did not see the strong economic growth and job creation that the Repubs promised.
Instead the Bush tax cuts added 3 trillion to the National Debt.

The right-wing's favorite fantasy is that lower taxes on rich people somehow magically create millions of jobs and causes the economy to take off and all our problems are solved. But that idea completely ignores American history. Every period of major economic expansion was during tax rates that are much higher than we have today.
The facts are so inconvenient. icon_rolleyes.gif
