This is so fun. Now my car is like socks or a belt. I can change the color, so I did. This was just this morning.
Now I need my rainbow strip for the back panel.

This is after I changed the door panels.
    Starting with the doors

    This is completed.
    Done

You know, there's a Brabus tuned version that could come to the US if they keep selling...

You know, they're being recalled for the paint jobs? Your windshield or roof can blow off without warning.

    Wah-Wah.

The F-150 is exactly twice the length of the smart. So depending on the bed size, you might.

I think I'm going to avoid 'pimping out' my car, but I've made a few mods though. The color will probably be a deep color large metal flake with clear coat

Then again, maybe I should airbrush a Tom of Finland guy on the side. Go for that upscale gay 'slumming it' look. Irony is still trendy isn't it, Well??? Isn't it?!

I have owned three over the years and I have never had any kind of problem whatsoever, they have only ever gone in the shop for routine maintenance.

Plus we have taken ours on long distance trips over the Alps and had immense fun doing it.

If you ever think of buying one I highly recommend it.

Id seen a smart in an accident last week. It was dented but clearly the driver just got out of the car. The Ford Tauraus that hit it, was totalled. The smart's sindhield and roof were intact and attached. If they call me, I'll bring it in.

Car's always seem to me to be a huge drain of resources on the earth (gas, metal, etc.). If I did get a car, I think I just found out.

While taste is subjective, I don't really like the Volt. It looks like a steamlined brick with big wheels. I don't mean that the smart is more or less beautiful, although I do like the design of it better from an industrial design standpoint. I will point out that the smart has the smallest overall carbon footprint of any legal car on the road currently (including cars like the Prius etc.) in the US.

The Smart you buy in Europe and even Canada isn't the same Smart you buy in the USA....the American market Smart is heavier, seven inches longer and 2 inches wider, the 3 cylinder diesel was replaced with a 3 cylinder gasoline engine that requires premium gas and the instrumentation was changed too.

It seems to have caught on big-time in the gayborhoods of Dallas, though I can't get past the styling myself, I'm happy to see another alternative choice on the market in the USA...from the two people I know personally that have bought them, they love them, though they admit they're not getting the gas mileage they'd hoped for....both of them told me they're getting around 31 to 32 mpg around town....which isn't any better than my sister's 4 door Yaris or what my Mini Cooper S (I no longer own) got.

I will give it credit, it's done quite well in Insurance Crash tests....but still each time I see one parked in a parking lot, I want to walk over and turn it on its side.icon_redface.gif

I am hoping that Tata, with their ownership of Jaguar, rolls out the Nano in the US.... 51 mpg city, 61 mpg highway.

/Indian car companies... something to invest in.
    //Extra slashies for extra mpg
