Bulking up without supplements?

    Hey guys, I'm trying to bulk up and when I was in great shape I was having this intense pre-workout drink that helped me pushed through all my reps. Now that I fell off the wagon and gained some I have high Blood Pressure and the pre-workout drink makes it worse. Is there any alternatives that you guys know of for a nice pre-workout drink that doesn't have alot of caffeine?

    Also, Is it possible to bulk up without the use of supplements as well? (aside from protein)

    I work with athletic trainers and doctors on a daily basis. They are admantly against many of the marketed supplements. When I was asking them how people should bulk up they said drink lots of chocolate milk, eat protein and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (not kidding) are great sources for doing this naturally.
