I'm going to be traveling to LA and Palm Springs, CA with my boyfriend around the end of December this year. I originally wanted to do Palm Springs for 1 or 2 nights and the rest in LA, but I've been finding that a lot of clothing optional resorts in Palm Springs are requiring a 4 or 5-night minimum stay, which does not work for me.

If anyone has suggestions for a good gay men's clothing-optional resort in Palm Spring that either does not have a "minimum" number of nights stay during the last week of December -- OR.... if anyone can recommend a gay men's clothing-optional resort that allows DAY PASSES (we're fine with doing just a "day trip" to Palm Springs) that would be greatly appreciated, thanks icon_biggrin.gif

Have you tried calling the resorts to inquire about reducing the minimums?

Yes, I did that -- best they could do is put me on a "wait list"

"Minimum night stays" is very common in resort areas during peak periods. Your problem is you are looking to stay at a time which is a very peak period because late December is a time when people can stretch their vacation days a little bit farther due to the fact there are two paid days off (Christmas Day and New Year Day). The resort owners don't really have to make exceptions because they can fill their rooms with people doing the minimum night stay. Stay at one of the hotels and get day passes. The downtown PS hotels are only 3 or 4 minutes from most of the gay resorts.

Save the money. Find a cheaper place and make day trips to any of the mentioned playgrounds. Squirt.org is a place you can join for free and get the scoop on anything as well as find out who goes there.
