Just when I thought you couldn't get any further to the left in America than the Democratic party, Amy Goodman on "Democracy Now" shows me there are no bounds towards that direction.

I hope the RNC was watching, these uberlefties have a lot of dirt on the Democrats, it's hilarious. In example, Barack Obama is a part of the Chicago crony system run by the dynastic regime of Mayor Daily. Even though Barack Obama doesn't take contributions from registered lobbyists, he gets more from corporate attorneys which do the same thing as the lobbyists but totally under the table. Ohhh and those Clintons, OMG! It's an eye opener. Tomorrow "Democracy Now" will be posting the transcripts of today's broadcast on their web site, check it out.

I love it when these communists eat one another.

That's hilarious coming from the party of Tom DeLay, perhaps the most corrupt politician EVER in these United States. The party of K Street, of Ted Stevens, of Duke Cunningham, of Ken Lay, of The Keating Five (of which John McCain was a member).

Corrupt, the whole lot of them. The whole party. Thoroughly corrupt.

I will watch. I am a conservative Repbulican. You are brave. From reading other posts, I would guess 90% of the people on this sight are very left-wing. I only talk to liberals if I must.

Understandable. You can't even spell Site. I find it funny that most conservatives here are really conservative. i.e. No pic, no profile info. icon_lol.gif Worried someone might find out they were gay I guess. Transparency be damned of course.

jprichva, touche' mon ami. I would like to point out though, Senator McCain was the only Republican in the Keating 5. The rest were Democrats. It was determined that John McCain and John Glenn were not guilty of anything other than poor judgement in that debacle.

But OMG, the Uberlefties on "Democracy Now" are mad as wet hens at the Democrats.

Cindy Sheehan plans to run against Nancy Pelosi next year. Wouldn't that be something? Unseating the Speaker of the House.

You gotta see the transcripts of today's broadcast.

I'm not a conservative at all, I'm a Republican Hawk, we tolerate the conservatives. Like I tell my friends, I'm tribal, America is my tribe and anyone who messes with it I want their heads on sticks.

Almost all of my friends are Democrats and usually way to the left of me. I forgive this character flaw because they're such nice people.

There's probably not a liberal born who'd insist on speaking with you. Just save your breath.

So the Smoke Monster was the result of our failure to adhere to the Kyoto Protocol?

Absolutely. The latest speculation is that the smoke monster is some kind of twisted nanotechnological defense system for the island.

You totally could have played like you were on the reference, but you get golden points in my book for admitting your lack of direct knowledge.

The Smoke Monster being Nanotechnology was my guess too. If it is that, they got the idea from the book "Prey" by Michael Crichton.

Back to "Democracy Now", at the Democratic Convention in Denver. Check this out; http://www.democracynow.org/ for Monday 25 AUG 08.

    Can you believe this stuff?

    Dammit, John,

You manage to find some common ground for us (i.e. LOST) then you jump back into the political rhetoric. Why won't you let me in!?!

Always with the gay republican thing from you. Can't we just all agree that Sayid and Desmond need to make out and NOT let it turn political!?!

    Gah! Jeez!

ANGRY INCENDIARY RHETORIC-FILLED REPUBLICAN SUPPORTING STATEMENT!

    angry democratic leaning retort

    ANGRY RETORT

    ....

guys, there's enough politically-charged discussion elsewhere ... and I guarantee that nobody reading this is going to suddenly wake up and change their ideology.

save your energy for something that matters - like investigating voter fraud ... it's something BOTH sides can agree is deplorable.

awaiting the "if you don't like it, don't read the forum post..." replies....

I don't know anything about "Lost". Wish I did so I could get the references.

Centrist here. I have no dog in this political fight. Not a fan of McCain as a presidential candidate this time, though I like him as a person. No problem with Obama, though I think he is a lightweight politically.

I love politics and political debate. I love debate in general. It forces you to get smarter or more educated.

But, I do not live my life depending on who is in the White House. In reality, it does not affect me. I have done well and poorly under both Democrats and Rebublicans. I take responsibility for myself. If anyone really thinks McCain or Obama will be sitting in the White House for the next four years thinking about me and not about getting re-elected, well OK. I don't. They are politicians, not Messiahs.

Remember, there's always someone more extreme than the most extreme person you know in any given direction.
Centre (note: that's how you spell it, folks! "re" not "er') is 0, and the scale is logarithmic.
