(Starts liberal soapbox speech b/c he can't bite his tongue any longer)

Good! Mitt SHOULD be unpopular. Let's see what he's done:

    (1) Flip flopped on the issues of gay rights ("I'll be more pro gay than Kennedy") and abortion. SOURCE http://newsone.com/2006845/mitt-romney-gay-rights-bay-windows/

    (2) Insulted our #1 ally on their execution of hosting the Olympics. SOURCE http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/topoftheticket/la-na-tt-romneys-straight-talk-20120731,0,6092373.story

    (3) Outsourced countless jobs and liquidated companies for Bain profit (i.e., vulture capitalism). SOURCE http://www.forbes.com/sites/frederickallen/2012/07/12/how-mitt-romney-invested-millions-in-outsourcing/

    (4) Called "47%" of Americans "victims" who he "doesn't care about."

    (5) Proposed raising middle class taxes by $2,000 to give a tax break to those making more than 2.5M annually. SOURCE http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/08/01/620561/tpc-romney-study-taxes/?mobile=nc

    (6) Strapped his dog on top of a long car ride, got called on it, and doubled downn trying to justify it (it's per se criminal in most states as animal abuse, neglect and endangerment, punishable by a fine and/or jail time). SOURCE http://articles.latimes.com/2012/apr/17/news/la-pn-mitt-romneys-treatment-of-dog-seamus-continues-to-hound-campaign-20120417

    (7) Wants to dismantle the GUARANTEE of medicare and offer "vouchers" for old people to shop on the private market, which plan would (written by Paul Ryan) create a $6,000 annual, or $500 dollar a month GAP. SOURCE http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/aug/23/barack-obama/barack-obama-ad-says-paul-ryans-medicare-plan-coul/

I could go on about the Lilly Ledbetter Better Pay Act, his trade war with China, and his reignition of the coldwar with Russia, but I'm growing exhausted.

SERIOUSLY, WHO THE HELL COULD VOTE FOR OR LIKE A DICK LIKE MITT ROMNEY? There can't be that many rich (annual salary of 1/2M or more), white, business, men out there. How's the self hating delusion one voting for him?

Unfortunately while there are not enough wealthy, white, straight men to elect him on their own there are enough weak minded, gullible people in America to have their vote swung by a very rich white straight man who vacillates his positions regularly to tell people exactly what they want to hear.

Some facts about the Obama presidency, which was an inherited disaster:

    -unemployment decreased by 2%

    -stock market increased by 54%

-housing market has seen foreclosures and short sales decrease by 50%

    -home values up 37%

    -Bush tax cuts renewed

-introduced plans to balance the budget by making cuts and increasing taxes by 1% on Americans making $1M+, which was rejected by the House.

-put the work requirement on welfare recipients to the states in an effort to get the federal government out of the picture.

and for the social aspects we look to:

    - put the first latin person on the supreme court

-made an executive order stopping IRS from pursuing an inheritance tax on a lesbian couple that were together for 47 years

-encouraged the repeal of dont ask dont tell, which we all know happened.

-publically came out in favor of same sex marriage and the repeal of DOMA

Very interesting Obama presidency facts, a few I didn't know. Gullible I can understand, but how do you have a blue collar existence, earning only 40K a year, someone in your family likely is on food stamps or drawing social security benefits, some woman in your family likely had or considered an abortion, most woman in your family are probably using contraception (including the girl you're currently boning), and a gay person has never come onto nor insulted you in anyway.......yet you somehow think Romney can deliver for you? What kind of delusional world do these people live in? Do they actually think they make enough to qualify for tax breaks for the top 15% of wage earners (which is about 190K), or not benefit from social programs and sexual choice freedoms? I just don't understand it. It's as nonsensical as a claimed burger fanatic preferring Wendy's over a Kobe beef burger from Smith and Wollensky's. It's ludacris!

But nonlogical voters aside, I am proud that my blacks and gays are representing, favoring Obama at an UNPRECEDENTED rate of 100% and 84% respectively. Someone correctly identifies the lesser of two evils (I don't mean to insult Obama, but my glasses aren't THAT rose colored haha).

    Agreed, guys.
For a presidential candidate to be more unpopular than Bush (a former president who's ranked as one of the worst presidents in US history) - is pretty shocking.

    Gallup

However I just checked it and now the margin has widened to 6 points in favor of Obama.

I have to say, I will most likely vote for our current president because I view social causes as more important than fiscal. To me it boils down to what is more important; people or money? I realize the debate is more complicated than that, but essentially that is the bottom line.

If both houses were Democratic, I'd vote for Romney because I truly believe that when one party is in control it spells disaster, i.e. the second bush era. I truly want to help my fellow Americans but the government mismanages the money it collects so horribly that I think a serious overhaul is in order. I went to a website that listed the current budget and I was able to shave off $1.2 trillion. Me, a schmoe from Florida with nothing more than 2 small businesses and an MBA.

If Obama gets re elected it will tell John Boehner and the house republicans that they need to work better at compromise because America hasnt rushed over to their side. Conversely, if the democrats lose a couple house and or senate seats, or just dont gain any, the president will also have to understand that the country isnt handing itself back over to his party and we are looking for better fiscal responsibility. If Obama wins he wont have to worry about the "47%" re electing him and hopefully he can start making better financial decisions to complement his social positions

If I were down there and invited, I would show up for sure! I lived in Miami/SB for 10 months for work, and FTL for a few months for work. I'll let you know if I'm ever in the Ft. Myers area for work!

Full Disclosure: I'm decent at most card games, but awesome at Texas Hold 'em!

LOL! No, I just found it amusing that he had it all planned out if this happened or that happened, but didn't even entertain the possibility of a Romney victory --- as if it wasn't even within the realm of possibilities. It may not be likely, but it's certainly possible. This over-confidence among Democrats could be dangerous for Obama.

OMG it's going to be a pisser if Mitt wins, the liberals here will scream like wet cats, and if Obama wins, the conservatives will get another four years of satire, and of course my loved ones in America will get another four years of hardship, and many of them are better off than most.

Of course, RickRick didn't mention that Bush is also more popular than Joe Biden. It should also be noted that Bush managed to win not one, but TWO elections where these polls gave him less than stellar favorability ratings. Bottomline: These polls mean nothing when it comes to electability.

Yes, we know that in "The World According To RickRick" President Bush and/or The Republicans are responsible for all that is bad about America. However, in "The Real World", millions of Americans do not consider President Bush as "one of the worst Presidents in US history". Yes, of course, you'll be able to drudge up polls that would have us believe that, but it doesn't make it fact. I could drudge up polls too that point to Obama being among the worst...doesn't make that true either...

    http://nation.foxnews.com/president-obama/2012/07/05/newsweekbeast-poll-obama-second-worst-president-american-history

Look at any 10 polls, you will get 10 different answers.
