This is the sequel to Things You Did As a Little Boy That the Other Boys Didn't Do.http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/2460565

So what things do you do as a grown man that you don't see a lot of other men doing? This isn't about being gay.....just specific things you enjoy doing that are out of the mainstream. It might be because they aren't considered traditionally masculine (see below) or they might just be niche interests that a lot of other people haven't discovered.

I have an obsession with fragrances. I'm overjoyed when Bath and Bodyworks comes out with a new liquid handsoap or a new fragrance of dishwashing liquid comes out. (My current favorites: Bath and Bodyworks' Twilight Woods For Men and Dawn Mediterranean Lavender dishwashing liquid). I also have a Disney Princess fascination. True, this came about after my nieces became obsessed but I have an embarrassing amount of Princess items in my own home. (A Cinderella ice pack, Kleenex in a Princess box, Princess sandwich bags).

I also can't resist buying storage containers when I see them on sale. I need huge Rubbermaid storage containers to hold my other Rubbermaid storage containers. This also facilitates me being kind of a hoarder. I still have college textbooks stored in the attic. Like I'm scared the internet might go away one day and I'll have all that information at hand.

I understand. Most of my really odd possessions came out of clearance bins too. Who can resist a summer rain scented candle when it only costs a dollar? (True enough, summer rain has absolutely no scent whatsoever).

Different color shoes (that are not the standard black/brown/white), especially cross trainers. Here are some I own. And I'm only going to admit to at least owning 2 pairs........

Always have to be reminded that some adult men just don't give a damn about how much you give a damn.

Smoke weed, play video games, stock up on skincare products, cook from scratch, workout obsessively and over eat, write fiction, treat my dog like my sweet baby princess, clean the house naked, groom my body hair, oh and I'm obsessed with oral hygiene; I floss several times a day. Also, I still have my Legos from when I was a kid.icon_surprised.gif

Both the first dates of my former and current relationship were walks through the woods. The first we went walking through Thetford Forest (in England) and I got to hear the story of Queen Budica (or however it is spelled) and the latter was at a wooded park in Enterprise, Ala (which he also took me to see where the tornado had hit Enterprise High School, so yeah I like abnormal)

I really like being out in nature. I don't know if it's something about the openness of it, or maybe some kind of positive/negative ion firing off the chemicals in my brain...but I feel extremely alive, aware, and positive.

I'm very much into horror. LOVE horror movies. Even the lame-ass, low-budget slasher flicks. Which means I really like visiting "haunted" places, or other places that will raise the hair on the back of your neck. Last Halloween I got to go to Sloss Furnace in Birmingham.

You know that really isn't such a bad idea. I've hit the edge of the bowl more than once, particularly when waking up with morning wood. I keep Spic'nSpan Anti-bacterial spray on the back of the toilet just to wipe up if I'm particularly careless.

Every month I have to conduct a meeting for my division. I put out a catered spread that would rival the continental breakfast of nice hotels. Some of it is store bought - yogurts, granola bars, etc. Then I bake something homemade.

I also have to put it all in nice serving dishes - i.e. a big basket of fruit. A nice bowl of ice holding the yogurts.

I am guilty of posting pics of my holiday meals to facebook. icon_redface.gif
