I was wondering if anyone has 1 or 2 hip replacements and if so are you still able to perform leg/thigh/glute exercises? Mainly wondering if you're still able to perform squats and if not what exercises do you supplement squats with. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Nooooooo!

My partner does not have hip replacements, but he did have to have them seeded with pieces of his leg bones after they died off in chemo. He does have to treat them like artificial hips if he wants to continue with the real ones. Please, ask a specialist and stay away from any exercise that has the potential to load your hips much above normal any any risk factor for dislocation.

I don't know about being replaced, but Much More's hips need a definite touching up. icon_biggrin.gif

Everyone is diffrent. Some people get hip replacements, and they work better then the old ones. For some, it's never the same again. I think the Surgeon can have something to do with this too.

But after hip replacement, you also have physiotherapy, and rehabilitation. You would learn all this information during this process, But I do know there are some movements, one is not encouraged to do. Speak to a professional.
