The equivalent in weight to 3 refrigerators per year...according to one Canadian.

Canadians are among the world's most wasteful people — so much so that they're wasting billions of dollars worth of edible food a year, mostly coming from their homes, according to a study.

I didn't know Canadians needed refrigerators. I thought they just buried it in the ground, just outside the entrance to their igloos.

"Canadian's" is not the plural for Canadian. Why do so many people use apostrophe s ('s) to denote a plural?

Non-Canadians should not discuss Canadians' issues, including the use of apostrophes around the word "Canadian." icon_lol.gif

Unless they're building a nuclear bomb.

yourname2000 saidWe have lots. And yeah, I toss out a fair bit. Once the caviar's been open for a couple of days, I lose interest.

We also use more water than most people anywhere, too (I believe). I heard that "water rates" were increasing in a bunch of US cities and I'm like "what? ...someone charges for water?" icon_eek.gif It just comes out of the tap here....like an endless supply of the stuff. icon_confused.gif

If you hold a blow-torch to the tap for a while to melt it. But I thought you all just scooped it up outside in a pan and melted it on the stove.

I dunno. Why do people use lowercase letters to denote uppercase sf? Probably not ignorance since most elementary kids know the rules, my guess is rightful laziness on a d-list discussion board?

Canada is like the U.S.' little brother that won't eat all his vegetables. Metaphorically and, apparently, literally. Talk amongst yourselves....

When I'm old, I'll probably forget the food I throw out, too. And how to spell "past". icon_razz.gif

If I had been on the Titanic, you're the one I would have wanted to be with.....cuz I could've thrown you overboard and used you for a life raft.

It's a misspelling of buttock. Apparently they can't spell, either. icon_razz.gif

So....you guys do realize bannock is a Scottish bread, right? icon_confused.gif And whale blubber is Innu....not exactly something you're gonna find at Safeway. icon_lol.gif

Why would I know that bannock is scottish bread? Do you think Virginia borders on Scotland?

I'll try to get by. But it's such a common typo these days, I fear it'll become a permanent part of the written English language. :-)

It's likely that most people write lower-case "sf" intentionally, while "'s" to denote a plural is a common unintentional mistake, or worse, believed to be correct.
