Just when you think you have seen it all in utterly ridiculous attack ads, here comes "The Trash Man". I smell some desperation...

Why would you call him ridiculous? He works for a living and he deserves integrity. The point of the ad is that Romney said he doesn't care about 47% of Americans, and here's a hard worker among them, who just happens to have a job that keeps him in a low tax bracket. He may not pay income taxes (the ad in unclear about that, actually), but either way he pays other taxes, such as social security and medicare. His voice counts just as much as yours or mine or anyone else who's eligable to vote.icon_confused.gif

But what's the point? Mitt Romney doesn't care about me because I pick up his trash? What exactly does he want Mitt Romney to do for him, send him a check?

The point is to give voice to the "victims" of Romney's 47% gaffe and show that they're not victims, they are in fact regular people who are marginalized by the republican party for no other reason than their limited economic means.

Desperation? Usually, the person ahead in most of the polls, particularly in the electoral vote count, isn't desperate.

BTW, I agree it's a stupid ad. But bear in mind it's some union's ad. Not an "I'm Barack Obama and I approve this message" ad.

Wow. Even the right wing Washington Times and Fox News give Obama a 9 point and 5 point lead respectively.

Yes, so I hear. We should probably just stay home and not vote...why bother? Clearly America has already decided icon_wink.gif

In WeLoveJanJock's world, the guy who is leading in every battleground state except NC is "desperate."
    That sounds about right...

I will make my decision after the debates. I want to see them next to each other and hear what they have to say, and how they say it.

Somewhere today I saw that face at the top of a news story. Such a "classic southern" news piece I told myself. A sweet lovable face. A sad story. "Lawd that boy wouldn't hurt a flea on a dawgs back." ... "He'az jus' mistreated as a child." An Obama child no less.

It's not even a real ad. Notice the disclosure missing at the end of clip? It's supposed to say more than "AFSCME."

These are the stupidest ads ever. These are not examples of the 47 percent anyway, since employed people, especially overweight city employees, pay federal taxes.
Stupid commercials with no point, major fail.
