What do you wear under your gym shorts when working out?

I just wanted to check this topic out. I am an older man and grew up wearing a jockstrap, and still do. I was a teacher/coach/principal for my career and know when I coached jock were required and most guys in PE wore them too.

Then here is Cali Prop 13 passed and the schools had to stop providing towels and most schools eventually stopped requiring students to shower so what they wore for PE became unimportant. Until all the guys starting wearing their boxers and then all you saw was gym shorts and boxers showing. So the dress code got a little tighter.

I guess most guys then growing up just started wearing their underwear under their gym shorts. Then boxer briefs came along and they became easier to just leave on.

So how many of you just wear your underwear? If you change out of your underwear what do you put on.

Jockstraps are so sexualized in my mind, I don't think I could focus on my workout if I was wearing one at the gym. I wear briefs or boxerbriefs at the gym and mainly save my jockstraps for fun romps with my boyfriend, teehee. I Love designer underwear, though, especially Andrew Christian.icon_razz.gif

A sport brief like that in the picture, which is like a jock with coverage in the back - comfort and support for both ends with minimal restriction of movement. Still wondering which brand is most comfortable and supportive for a bigger guy, preferably in 100% cotton.

I usually wear compression shorts or sports trunks. Sometimes just my regular underwear and on the rare occasion I wear a jock.

Is wearing nothing rude? I don't like briefs and wearing boxers is just as counterproductive as free balling.

    See my profile pic ;)
Actually I'm usually wearing shorts or sweats with compression shorts under for leg day and cardio or sport briefs or a jock on other days. You can't just leave your junk dangling when you are flexing muscle like that or something's going to get crushed.

Either briefs, my square cut boxer briefs, or is wearing my US Navy PT shorts, nothing since they've got built in undies.

Under Armor briefs. They're not that comfortable, but they're breathable and keep the sweat to a minimum.

Usually a jock. I need to suit up to get into the groove. Working out can be a see and be seen event, so I have to feel into it. It's inspiring! Sometimes nothing at all if I want my cock to show ;-)

Just plain old boxer briefs. They keep the goods in one place when I go running.
