Runners: Anyone wear compression tights for cold weather training?

I've been looking at the Skins 400 long tights for winter running, but don't want to feel uncomfortably squeezed around the waist. Does anyone have any experience with this brand or other similar product? My waist size is about 31 (I typically wear M), but I find that even regular running tights can make me feel like the waistband is too tight.

I've tried tights at the store and they're way to constrictive. I even tried one size up. Personally, I just need to keep my upper body warm. My legs will naturally stay warm from running. So running pants are more then sufficient for me. Maybe go Rocky style and wear layers of sweat pants?

I moved to South Florida to avoid cold weather.

@xrichx: I'm good going without tights down to maybe 45 degrees, but need something on my legs below that. Plus, bulkier (like layers of sweatpants) isn't really optimal.

@paul: I kinda like the change of seasons up here in NC. Fortunately, winter isn't very long or typically very cold.

I have a pair of 2XU that I use in the cold. I don't really feel they are tight around the waist, but it may be that I don't find it as much of an irritant.

Its still 65 degrees here in Houston during the winter. We don't ever have to worry about the cold icon_razz.gif

I've had some Undergear running tights for a few years now and they haven't let me down. I haven't felt any pinching around the waist, either.

I wear CW-X pro tights. I've had a pair for a few years and they keep me warm throughout the winter. I have worn them in temperatures in the single digits and my legs keep warm but I don't feel too constricted.

I've been looking at those as well. Thanks for the response!
