The coastal areas of Los Angeles. Seems like I've met quite a few guys recently that are teachers.

There are two parts to the question: getting a great job and not being gay bashed.

bigger cities and big university towns tend to be more homo-friendly.

As far as a great job goes, a bigger city, especially one with several suburban school districts close by, will give you more employment options. You can always live in the city and commute to work or live reasonably close to work and go to the city for night life. I wouldn't live overly close to your workplace; you won't want all of your students knowing when there are "strange" cars parked in front of your place overnight.

Ya, you can make out with dudes mid street here and no one gives a shit. Someone else said LA? Fuck that. I lived there; they like to play like they embrace you until a mormon gives them money to hate you. It's all about buying power in that state, moreso than any I have seen.

That's pretty interesting. I frequently hear about racial tension in Boston. Guess that's only in certain neighborhoods?

The problem with the racial tension is in Mission Hill. But there really is no tension. Boston is one of the most accepting places in the country in my opinion.

Anywhere that is not in the south. Period. That area is just a redzone pretty much.

I'd also avoid the midwest and heartland unless you're in a major city. Even then not all are good.

The rockies are hit and miss. Best to avoid it unless you know certain locations beforehand.

I'd say the northeast would be good. Same with all up and down the west coast as well.

I'm from big gay wedding Canada and even up here you need to be in a city to not get beaten up and tied to a fence and left to die. That Boston thing is intrigueing! I love New England.

    Nowhere.

Even the most gay-friendly cities have bigots.

If you want to avoid being gay bashed, take MMA.
