    How cool! Sounds like it could really save a lot of lives...until these folks get the ER bill in the mail that sends them into stroke #2. Just a wild guess but I predict insurance companies will want no part in covering this.

    So if I understand this correctly, it's something that's administered during emergency care, for other medical conditions that frequently result in a stroke? It's not something my partner would routinely take to reduce his future risk for stroke, which he already had earlier this year?

    I took my mom into the emergency room for a possible stroke and the nurse told us how they can reverse the effects of a stroke or heart attack for up to 4 to 6 hours after they occur now. Not like the old days where the effects after a few minutes were permanent.
