I get motivated by seeing other people who are fit, probably not the healthiest way to get motivated but it works!

All I have to do is see a picture of myself from 2 years ago, before I started getting serious about fitness. That keeps me going. Also I like food, and if I wanna eat all I want, I have to work out every day.

I don't. Blame you on the motivation I know what army guys do in pt. If you really want want to bulk out you just are going to push yourself. I can relate to motivation I took a 3 month period off from the gym. I think some times my body needed the time off since I usually go 5 days. A week. Good Luck...val

I just look in the mirror. i know that I've made a ton of progress, but I know that I still have a really long way to go. Striving to meet my own goals is motivation enough.

QFT -- pictures of myself from more than 2 years ago scare me now -- I can't believe I had let myself get to that point.

The original motivation in my case was not only how I looked, but how I felt -- neither was good. The jury is still out on the looks, but I FEEL one hell of a lot better. That feeling keeps me motivated now -- I just don't like feeling bad.

I live in the gym. Literally. That way there's no need for motivation. The weights are staring me in the face all day every day.

This. I have my phone on me at all times. So when I'm at the gym I can pull up my stats and look at my top lifts and if I beat it that day it's a great feeling.

But generally I don't feel well if I don't go to the gym. I'm tired and very lazy which is weird. icon_rolleyes.gif

I just don't feel the same on days that I don't work out (which is once or twice a year). For me, there's nothing more motivating than seeing numerous examples of guys I aspire to look like (i.e. having bodies I wish I had). But, I'd suggest, you have a workout buddy (who you'd be accountable to); it works for a lot of guys.

How do you feel right after a good gym session? Mentally, physically and about yourself. There's your answer right there...
