I'm sure 90% of them were just having fun or using the camera to make them money on the side.

Looks like the photographer is into men.icon_wink.gif

Is that guy laying on the cot in black underwear really pulling his nut-sac skin out?? It sure looks that way!

There is nothing "gay" about any of this. it is called "gay humor" and just about everyone living in close quarters like this participates in this "gay humor". Before I came out to my battle buddies, I even participated. because if you didn't then people actually thought you might be gay.

    Go Figure!!!

and after I started coming out to some of my fellow soldiers, it continued and they didn't give two shits, but they did make sure that it was understood that there is a line and they are completely straight. I was in bed after a long shift and crawled into my bunk and one of my soldier jumped onto my bed and "cuddled" with me and actually dozed off for about 20 minutes. he knew about me and he didn't care. it was a room of about 10 guys and everyone cuddled with everyone at some point.

When you live in close quarters in a combat zone like that.... you do things you don't normally do to make sure you are still human.

I didn't see anyone call any of the guy's gay. Why so defensive? I think while most people don't understand what it is like to be in a combat zone (never will unless you've been there) - I think some of us are able to get the context.

This is pretty much a no-homo scenario. I served on active duty and, although not overly common, buddy-cuddling did happen from time to time. Very rarely did someone criticize, and if they did, great joking ensued, all in good fun, of course.

this isn't even bad. i'd say at least once a week i get completely naked and weird with my friends while we are drunk. and i am definitely the only gay one and they all know it and its still completely no homo.
also, one of my Marines is in a picture - but ive seent it before and i cant be bothered to find it. complete fucking show off.
also...it is called "the theater"...cant get much gayer than that! (im sure only a few will get that comment).
and my final also is once you get to know these fucks their hotness disappears pretty quick..like when you need to suture their faces cuz they went punch for punch after 6 shots of tequila. they just become yer guys you have to take care of no matter what ridiculous shit they do. fucking them is not really something that enters yer head, at least from a corpsman perspective.

Thanks for the topic OP. something about military men showing a softer side is very attractive to me. Like some othe posters have already said - only those who have been in the situation serving overseas in a war zone could truly understand.

I don't understand people who kill other humans and feel good about it. Why would any sane person do that? And then turn around to cuddle to "feel human" -- isn't that a psychosis in itself?

If you need a cuddle then offer one to the guy you just shot - I'm sure he needs one too.

You're way too old to be that naive. And who the hell said "they like it"? It's a job that needs to be done....I'll wager these guys spend 100x more time figuring out how NOT to kill someone than they actually do killing.

Your post offends me more than these guys do, that's for sure. We put these guys in harms way, often under-prepared for the reality of the situation, while we sit back drinking Starbucks. Then when they come home they have to listen to a self-righteous asshole second guess a situation he's spent his entire life avoiding thinking about.

You don't like what these guys do? --yell at the politicians. From my perspective, these guys are just making the best of a 24/7/365 shit-situation. I don't have the balls to do what they do, but it would be my honour to be on the [platonic] cuddle brigade....it's that connection to one's humanity that will save each from becoming the monster you tar them all as being, imo.

do you know what i love? this blanket idea that infantry guys (especially) are all big dumb fucking lunks that just want to kill people. and they have nothing else to offer the world - no interests, no back story. they have no other reason they joined the military other than wanting to kill bad guys. its those same people you see in the unemployment line or buying drugs or whatever that yer like 'wow get a fucking life guy' that chose something more for themselves that you now can completely write off as being INSANE. insane? is it not completely insane to take an entire demographic and call them not human?
    so like theres this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZlvLmBvOx8

and if i felt like it i could comb through the comments and see everyone tearing them apart for being pussies who can kill people but then not take getting attacked or something. its like...you dont want to acknowledge that any Marine or whatever is like a real ass person but then when they display emotion its like 'wow cant take the heat eh?'. i mean im not a big proponent of the idea that like SUPPORT THE TROOPS ect it makes me extremely uneasy...but like you do know...beyond all the political mindfuckery that goes on the in the middle east..that whats been demonstrated since the beginning of time...if we didnt have a military we would be completely taken over. and not just having a military...but a great one. i dont really think you can comprehend how much other people who have been to war dont like it way more than you could ever feign disgust for people fighting in it on the internet.

http://fallencorpsmen.net/ yeah, a bunch of subhuman fucks right? a bunch of people who could easily be me...or you for that matter! i mean right like if certain people didnt want to do it then it would fall on the rest of the population to be drafted. but dont worry...a bunch of mindless insane fucks who throw hand grenades into schoolyards and then jerk each other off to not feel guilty are out there doing it instead.

I HAVENT GOTTEN MOTO IN LIKE 5 MONTHS. THATS HOW STUPID YOUR COMMENT IS.
