Face it, Old White Guys know what they're doing. Obama picked Biden.
I'd rather have the Old White Guy in the number one spot.

That first clip (with the fuggly mint green background) was the same night Obama was able to claim his win in the primaries. He was surrounded by a crowd of about 5,000 I believe.

Then you have this clip of poor John. They barely managed to get a few hundred people to show up. The background made him look even older than he is. And, despite his years in the public eye, he is HORRIBLE at the teleprompter. You can just see where it instructs him to SMILE HERE. How awkward. I can't believe he's made it this far.

After all the bytes you have taken up eviscerating people who are politically liberal, this is the best you can whip up? Just goes to show you that all this bullshit on the forums is not about any kind of political discourse; it's just a stupid screaming match.

Here's a novel idea for all you zealots out there:
At the end of the day, anything you say here is a bunch of chin music, SO JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SPEAK WITH YOUR GODDAM VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4TH!

I don't know if I'd go quite that far, but you make a good point. Most people's minds are already made up, and pejorative vitriol only serves to further entrench and polarize the various factions. If we can have a civil debate on the merits and policies of each candidate, then I think the forums are an appropriate venue for public discourse. Too often, though, they devolve into bitter shouting matches.

Well I definitely do not want him running the country. I don't see how the LGBT community would vote for him. When I think, that if he had it his way, he probably wouldn't allow "us" to vote in the first place.

Whatever putz said old white guys belong in office - is clearly battling his own demons.

Like a great political commentator recently said, "Republicans love this country just fine - they just hate 50% of the people who live in it!"

Like a great past president once said, "If you keep hitting people over the head long enough, they forget who's hitting them and why and just accept it." Republican's continually bet the farm that people in this country won't wake up to that fact. Well, maybe people are finally waking up!

The movie WALL-E was on point, eh?

Ok, anybody who thinks that ALL old people are wise...doesn't know that many. Sorry if you take offense, but it's true. When old people ARE wise they are rightfully revered *because* of the plain fact that it's so rare.

Likewise, usefull experience does not come from doing the same thing over and over and over again. Yes, I know your typewriter still works just fine BUT...

Lastly, you really, REALLY have to worry about a presidential candidate who's THIS demonstrably short-tempered, forgetful and completely ignorant about the issues of the day.

    Food for thought...

    No, we want this guy:

    or this guy...

I mean, c'mon... Do we really need to make fun of people who are in the media spotlight, every single day, every time they make an ineloquent speech or appearance? Obama and McCain are human beings. Do we really want to get into a game of pointing out every single time someone speaks poorly? icon_rolleyes.gif If you want to attack McCain, there are plenty of substantive things you can bring up rather than some poor speaking moments. Resorting to this is kind of desperate.

Stone does make a good point. It does seem pretty desperate. Let's use arguments with a little more substance, shall we? Back to the peanut gallery for me! icon_rolleyes.gif

Not just pathetic. it is total illogical. I would not want my grandfather running the country. So why would I vote for Mccain.

Why do gay men vote for Republicans. Is it the self hate? Republicans do not care about you.

    1. That is no more logical than what he said.
    2. Gayness is not the only issue going on in the world or facing the country.

You're right, it's not the only issue; however, it should be an important one for you, if you are gay. Just as abortion rights are important to women, because they are affected by those laws.

I'm not saying you can't vote Republican if you are gay (even though, I don't get if), but you can - it's your right as a U.S. citizen. But when you are looking for equal rights or protection from a hate crime, etc., remember who you voted for.

I understand your opinion. It is important. It is one important issue that I think the Republicans are dead wrong on. There are at least five other important issues that I agree with McCain on over Obama. They are just as important to me as the one issue you are focusing on.
