Mitt Romney“We don’t have a setting across this country where if you don’t have insurance, we just say to you, ‘Tough luck, you’re going to die when you have your heart attack,’  ” he said as he offered more hints as to what he would put in place of “Obamacare,” which he has pledged to repeal.

“No, you go to the hospital, you get treated, you get care, and it’s paid for, either by charity, the government or by the hospital. We don’t have people that become ill, who die in their apartment because they don’t have insurance.”

First of all, people with chronic illnesses do get sick and die because they don't have insurance.

Second, if he and Paul Ryan get the chance to gut Medicaire and Medicaid, then there will be even more poor chronically ill people dying for lack of insurance.

How does someone this out of touch get this close to the Oval Office?

Hopefully R&R will get a disease that money won't fix.

This is a perfect example of how removed Mitt is from regular Americans. He moves in circles of other multi-millionairres, so he has no idea what middle-class and working class lives are like. If he had any clue at all, he wouldn't make stupid statements like this.
Mitt grew up having a life of privilege handed to him and never knew any kind of financial struggle -- he has no business judging and criticizing people who didn't have the same advantages he's had.
    Sickening.

Romney is not personally evil, but this kind of cluelessness this close to a position of power IS evil because its downright dangerous. When you think like this, you see why he and his rich friends have no problem with gutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare to give themselves a tax cut.

H's he ever heard of type 1 diabetes? Those people have to have insulin everybody day or they will die. They can't insulin from the emergency room every day, so what does Mitt think they're supposed to do? Go into the ER and ask for a pancreas transplant?

That anyone even considers this man as anything more than a joke is an indictment of this country's voters and the party that nominated him.

I hear what you are saying, but that kind of ignorance can be nothing but willful ignorance, and that is evil. So is simply promoting the party line with not thought of how it might be wrong, even just in places. I agree - Romney is not going to pick your pocket or stab me in a dark alley - but if a person's ignorance and influence are evil, then that is responsible.

True, he should know better, but he is SOOOOOO out of touch I'm thinking he really may be this dumb.

Romney isn't stupid. I just watched a Frontline special on PBSicon_smile.gif about both candidates. Romney was a missionary who tried to prevent women from getting abortions. According to the documentary, it was life changing for him to meet people with real life problems. He can't be trusted.

There are no words icon_rolleyes.gif Mitt Romney may be many things, but "evil", "clueless", and "dumb" are not among them. Perhaps he will be elected to be our next President so he can prove this to many of you.
