Yupp! Last week after I realized how miserable I am studying business and looking at numbers I decided to change from International Business Marketing to Communication Arts and Sciences: Broadcasting with an emphasis in international journalism. I'm really excited since broadcasting and communications is something i've always enjoyed and I feel like Im actually going to like attending class.

I did the same because I failed my macroeconomics course...twice!!!! But I think the major I choose, public relations, interests me much more. Be careful about having to repeat or take classes you don't need. I wasted about an entire semester taking classes that my new major no longer required....grrrr...

Good for you! It's nice to follow what you truly want to do. For me that actually happens to be a certain aspect of business. A very important one.

    Oh and, you are hot.

It does not matte what you take in college or even what you graduate in ... you are likely to end up in a complete different career any ways ... get a part time job in the field you want to enter, even if it is just a job where you watch those that perform the job you want to do .. otherwise you are never going to have a clue or an in

Changing majors can be scary. I switched from a Music major to a Visual Arts major...both were destined to leave me ultimately unemployed though.

I'd wager there are more career opportunities for a journalist than a fine oil painter.

Not in print journalism. You'd need an advanced degree compete for fewer positions in a shrinking field where the salary is also being reduced.

I guess you could always paint houses.

Haha yea I hate my econ and accounting courses, and I can't do math at all which is a big reason I switched. And even with the potential of being unemployed I think broadcasting is the route for me! I mean worst comes to worst i'll just get a job stripping right?

I changed my major 4 times till now. But it is something really common in France. I know almost nobody who finished the studies he started to do icon_smile.gif
