Soooo, just watch the first episode of season 2.

And wohaaaa! Am I disappointed! I thought it was horrible, just recycled characters/story lines from season 1! And it didn't seem like much creative style went into it. "Bloody face" Like really? At least Rubberman took on a fresh take, BDSM crossed with murder. They said the characters returning from last season would be the opposite of what they were last season. But so far I just don't see it, apart from Evan Peters character. They also went overboard on the sex, and the horror movie cliches that felt like they were trying to "reinvent" them. With the first season, everything was just a mystery. You didn't know who was dead, who was alive. the connection between all the characters were adding up. I know it's only the first episode, but it was honestly hard to watch. I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters.

And being gay I personally HATED how they handled the lesbian couple.

    Everyone just seems crazy. Bleh.

    Your thoughts?

P.S. The Walking Dead is totally kicking ass now!

Haha, they did in fact do a timeline change in this episode! From Adam Levine to the Asylum. I'm not saying it won't be good, in fact I wasn't into the first episode of season 1 that much either. But it was still so mysterious and catching I tuned back in later. Thisssss. Is just boring, and recycled. And without season 1 don't see how I'd tune back in for another ep. But I will.

I like how they're not straying too far from the comics (Walking dead that is) Gonna be a fucking awesome season!

Can't say the same for AHS, sooo predictable and kind of... Straying too far. Maybe I just expected too much.

I'm reading reviews about episode 1, and they're all really positive. Am I the only one who didn't dig this haha?

I just thought it was so predictable and corny. Ah well, next weeks epsiode will see!

    Just finished this.

I think it is on it's way to brilliance... It's juggling a few themes that are central to the early 60's.. where gay rights and interracial dating were deemed as "insanity"... almost everyone in the nut house in this episode would be considered "sane" today.. so i think they are playing on that.. and the Alien theme for me has a lot to do with that change that occurred in the late sixties into seventies... So the blackmailing of the lesbian couple did not bother me.. it would have actually happened and it highlighted how homosexuals were treated at that point. Plus we know sister jude is a fucking FREAK.... so we get some political commentary too. I enjoyed this... i think we are leading up to some really fucked up bullshit.

What happened to his wife? Why is he bloody face? What is Sister Jude problem? What happened to blend the current guy to the past? who are the monsters in the woods? We got some good material. And Ryan Murphy can think up some perverse entertaining shit! I have faith.

I think season 1 really set the bar and it will take a couple episodes to get me to really enjoy season 2 just as much. However, I actually liked the first episode a lot. I will say it is a lot more twisted than the first season and I'm looking forward to see where it goes. After the first episode of season one I was left with the same confusion/excitement as I was to the first episode of Asylum.

P.S. Lets be honest though, I'll take Adam Levine and a sex scene any day
