I hate it when people can't do something as simple as use correct aspect ratio on a video.

I think the problem here was that the person that shot the video held the phone vertically (in portrait mode). From watching various YT videos, it seems like a lot of people don't understand the concept. icon_lol.gif

Hey OP: since when was it deemed appropriate for (white) guys to freely use the racial perjorative 'nigga/er' as an every day adjective?

If I was the guy in the vid, I'd sue the cashiers and company for common assault (biting), sexual harassment, damaged property (clothes), false imprisonment and emotional distress.

Let them attempt to prosecute over a stolen candy bar if they want- a misdemeanour offence doesn't deserve such a disproportionate retaliation.

That's terrible. I hope to god they get sued. And those employees need to get fired too, that's directly against all companies policy to chase down a robber, its not worth the risk of getting hurt and you do stupid shit like this.

I mean what the fuck is wrong with someone?

What disgusts me more about the film is that shit like that can happen in society and everyone just stands there and films the shit instead of stopping them.

Bystander effect - the more people are witnessing something the less likely it is anyone will help. If there was only one person that person would probably help out.

Why was the guy trying so hard to steal a box of candy anyway? wtf

Are we therefore not allowed to discuss it then, because you don't deem it important? icon_rolleyes.gif

it's hardly fair to allow one race to use it in a non offensive way but not another. Though it comes across awkward

Historical and social injustice has made a lot of things unfair for Black people, including pejoratives ascribed to their whole race that has significantly deeper, hurtful, life altering social and historical connotations than any ascribed to the white 'race'.

Simply saying the world isn't fair because, for the most part, black people don't like white people (or anybody in fact) throwing around that word when referring to a black person, isn't a sound justification.

    take it easy...

I have a friend who says stuff like "I have black friends, but I don't think I can date one... just preferences ;)"... that's far more dangerous and racist than a word - let alone a word u people use to each other lol.

I love how that one store attendant in the video is contributing nothing to the struggle besides occasionally touching the black guy and pulling at the waistband of his boxers to get a better look at his ass.

''You people'' ... really? Ugh icon_rolleyes.gif

Your friend being a different type of douche doesn't negate the fact that you are acting like a douche in a slightly different way, all the same.

Your sweeping generalisations of what ''[my] people'' say to one another, based on a stereotype, as opposed to a reputable and wide reaching study, is quite a telling personality trait.

A trait shared by ''you people'', i.e., the wilfully ignorant.

    nigga -

A derogatory word used by black people to retain (and exploit) their ancestors past as slaves. Many blacks claim it's a term of endearment (akin to brother, homie, etc), but in no way can it be as its root meaning is ignorance. It's another double standard of racism in our current time.

    White guy "what up nigga"
    Black guy "nigga?"
White guy "you know what I mean bro"
Black guy "you mean I'm a nigger"
White guy "Nah man, it ain't like that"
Black guy punches the white guy.
Black guy gets arrested for assault and released without charges because the white guy is accused of using racial slurs (that the Black guy uses everyday in his vocabulary with his "brothers" that he has no idea if he's actually related to).

.. lol but _SAGE_ I did notice that off the back but didn't bother to look at the profile to see who it was.

.. it is just quite odd. icon_confused.gif Of all the other words you can use to describe him according to his actions (i.e. thug, guy, etc) just odd is all. icon_eek.gif
