for the first time in a long time.

One of the local gay bars in the french quarter has an excellent multi-screen monitor and a well balanced, crisp, clear sound system.

They were playing early 80's videos.

"Billie Jean" came on in a lull in the crowd; I was able to view the video and listen to the multi-layered, Perfect Pop arrangement and vocals.

Truly this song was at the apex of Jackson's career!

It seems (to me) like he went downhill after this song.

It's hard to argue that Billie Jean wasn't his best song. But I wouldn't say it was all down hill after. He put out a lot of really good songs that a ton of artists would kill to have released. It's just that Billie Jean was just so friggin good. You can't bash the guy for not doing better.

You can, however, bash the guy for being a child molester even though he was acquitted.

Its as perfect as pop gets. I don't think he went "down hill" after it. He made plenty of great songs but BJ is his best.

From a few years before BJ, this is the demo for "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough"

No, absolutely not his music career. You just can't say, this great artist went downhill after this song, who sold over 800 million albums worldwide, broke lots of records. To top it, he's a talented, great singer and dancer. A music genius. Many artist are influenced by his music and dance style. Just think about it again. His downhill started in the mid 90's, caused by the fuck:ng perverted media. They totally raped this poor innocent guy.

I love me so Michael Jackson. Don't believe none of the bad hype about him

Been a fan since I was 15 and just recently did a tribute to him dancing to Beat It and Remember The Time on the video game Michael Jackson Experience.

To each his own, of course. I prefer 'Wanna Be Startin' Something", myself.
