So just a random story, but I worked my last day at my current work place that I've been with for 2 years and it was soooo heartwarming!

The practice manager actually cried, 4 doctor's got emotional and 2 patients actually came in to give me a written recommendation letter they wrote for me without even me asking them too.

It was such a bitter sweet last day because I will actually miss them all and I hope my new job will be as nice or nicer!
Still, I think it's affected me enough that it's 4:55am and I am still awake because it's all I keep thinking about.

    icon_cry.gif in a good way.

Anyway, that's all I just felt like saying because I have no emotional outlet available at this particular time.

My patients want to shake my hand when they leave. I know that feeling. I can't imagine leaving it behind.

You left all the people you know and love just for more money?

    That's rude, dude.

    You're too funny, Paul.

What better reason for leaving? icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I really did not leave for the money. To be honest, the pay I was getting with them was considerably less than what most RN's get but because I loved the place so much I decided to stay longer.
The only reason I left was that there was an opportunity to advance my clinical development and since I'm still only a young RN (in terms of experience) I thought I should take it.

The company usually never re-employs workers who have left but the area manager actually took me aside and said I could seriously come back if I ever wanted to.

Anyway I'll probably still drop by and visit just to say hi and catch up or as a patient myself. Day 1 after leaving and (this is going to sound so pathetic) I'm listening to the sad song playlist on my itunes haha.

It's just this place is going to be my benchmark now as to how I evaluate how much I like my workplace and I feel like other place's will be dull in comparison not because they are crap, but because this place for the most part was really good.

On that note let's end this emotional pointless banter.

    Thanks again guys to everyone.

Trollileo saidWow. That's awesome! I'm glad they're not dicks to you and realizing you have to move on to bigger and better things. (So I'm assuming.)

Yeah they know exactly the reason. Around the time I was going we were going through an accreditation because they routinely get re-accredited every 3 years so I was hesitant to say at first because I didn't want them to think it was because of accreditation I was going.

I had a good talk with the practice manager about it before about me looking into more development and so she knew I'd eventually go just didn't think it'd be so soon. I didn't think it would either but this opportunity found me instead and so I thought I should give it a go.

They definitely want me to keep in touch so I will at least do that, I don't live far from where I used to work (how weird saying that) so it'd be easy.
