He's an actor! He's acting - I'm guessing talking bout Jen Jen since she got engaged.

I saw that commercial and it didn't make sense to me either. The only message I got from it was "scruffy dude-bro's wear perfume too". mmmm. k..!

On the other hand, considering that it is perfume ad, if they made him look all pretty then it could be looked on as targeting the gay market.

    Trying to be "Shakespearian."
It doesn't work. And it won't make me buy the perfume.

Since CoCo Chanel was an anti-Semite, a Nazi collaborator, and a homophobe, I'm sure Brad will also turn around and release an equally sensitive HRC-funded video urging everyone to boycott Chanel No 5.

To be fair, all perfume ads are horribly pretentious and instantly self-parodic.

There have been several celebrity parodies of the Brad Pitt Chanel commercials, the latest being this past weekend on SNL.

Hmmm...he's reciting bad poetry. Or are you thinking these are his own ad-libbed thoughts?

I'd say anything as well for the purported 7 million dollars he was paid for that spot.

I've read some book referring that she despised gay designers because they make women look flamboyantly ridiculous in their clothes, but i dont think she was homophobic. She's worked with them when she was participating in theatre before.
Anyway, how dumb for Bad Pitt if he didnt know about this.
They shouldve hired Mel Gibson instead. icon_lol.gif

Played it without the sound. Sounds great to me.

As for the scruff, I think he is clean and, if you look at the facial hair, actually groomed all to hell and back. He is in a position where he does not have to satifsy Sears preppy any more. He can look as he pleases.

Lots of people have no problem cynically working with someone they hate, if the money keeps rolling in. According to biographies, Coco Chanel had no problem using all the opportunities available (gays, jews) even if she despised them.

Brad lives 4 blocks from me (at least some of the time). He's one of the few stars that actually gives as much as he receives. He's done a lot for my city in rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina and he's about as down to Earth as they come. So if he wants to make a buck doing a fucking cologne commercial, leave the man alone, because he's probably going to do some good with that money.

Quite possibly the shittiest perfume commercial I've ever seen.

The only good part about it was the lighting.
