I've just had an e-mail from a Sgt. David Fisher. He may be okay, but seems slightly dodgy. Is this one going around?

"We have been emailed by the dead. "

That's three of us so far....

    Anyone else?

Whenever someone messages you for the first time and instructs you to contact them externally away from the site , it's most likely a scam. Delete and move on.

'The peace keeping delegation to Afghanistan'? There is no such creature. It is known as the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), but a real soldier is more likely to say, simply, "I am a soldier serving in Afghanistan".

I told him he needed to contact me via RJ mail. You'll be astonished to know that I haven't heard back...

So I shouldn't count on getting back the cash I sent him to visit me?

Having not served, I didn't know that specifically though the wording sure didn't read right. But there's actually something off in each & every thought the emailer attempted to convey. He should have just titled his email: red flag.

At least with some scammers I think to myself, man, if you just put part of that talent and energy into something legitimate you could make something of yourself. But this? I can't even say that.

icon_cry.gif I guess that means I'm not good enough for him to mail me. Maybe I look poor.
