    Quick question for conversation:

Do you believe in signs? Not the crop circles I mean "signs from the universe" - that something somewhere is trying to tell you something to do something.

I'm talking about those moments of conflict where you're trying to figure something out. Aren't sure if you should or shouldn't do something but you just start seeing things and references that says "GO FOR IT!!"

I'm having one of those days and I'm wondering if I'm just psycho.*

*Never mind - I know I'm psycho. Maybe other people are psycho too

I beleive they are great ways to procrastinate and validate in-action.
Trick is knowing when to spot them.
Had to have my roof blown off three times before: "Yeah, think I'll move".

I don't believe in random because life is time with a beginning and an end. Therefore, it cannot be random. Life would be everlasting if it was random.

Sure, I believe in anything my mind wants to do, but won't let me acknowledge with my waking thoughts without dressing it up compressed metaphorical thoughts that's help remove me from the reality of my thoughts and choices...sometimes.

Well, no. I'm not asking if it's random. I'm saying do you believe in something (God, the universe, karma, what have you) telling you to go a certain directions. I mean, the only thing guaranteed is death. Ain't that a downer?

And as I write this, I get another sign. This one is hitting me right in the face...oyyyy. icon_sad.gif

Sometimes I believe in signs, other times, I feel like people just look for reasons to jusify a decision they are leaning towards. There is a fine line, but its not always easy to tell which side you are on.

I honestly have no concrete answer. I have had several signs in my life, but it never gave a concrete answer, it just swayed me in a certain direction.

Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.

Dream of flowers or your teeth falling out .... someone you know is going to die ... if in the teeth dream it was painful, then it will be someone close

I don't believe in signs, but I do think there are events that can push you a certain way because you're open to it. If you're looking for a sign, think about why you're looking, and there is your sign.

Not saying a thing or saying hey to a guy who blew you off a month ago but for some reason he's been on your mind for the past two days?

Say hey, the worst he can do is blow you off again. The best is he might just blow you. And to make it easier, I DEMAND you ask him out.

    There's your sign!

Yes, I do. I could tell you tons of times when I got feelings and thoughts to do things and then they ended up playing out in some dramatic way. I have just recently started trying to really study and channel that energy and it really is pretty fascinating. You can call me crazy if you want to ;)

Hmm ... I don't think anything is random ... If the universe were random then it could not exist because it would stay in a state of random ... I think it is more cyclic, like the seasons and like the alignment of the universe on 12-21-12

That shows an immense lack of understanding of entropy...

No, I don't believe in signs, because I don't believe in a higher power.

Well, either I misread the signs or they were just coincidences. icon_sad.gif

Can't say I'm surprised. But also can't say I'm not disappointed.

There's some validity to signs. Whether they are a manifestation of your subconscious telling you what to do or the Universe, I can't say. I'd like to believe it's both. Just a couple of months ago I saw a guy at Starbucks here in town that reminded me of a person who I've thought about often over the years and I'll be damned if he didn't text me the next day saying he was in town for a BBQ and wanted to hang for a beer or two...not the same guy at Starbucks either...I've had many instances like this over the years...so, I wouldn't discount it.

    Nope.

It's only because we feel so vulnerable that we think "the universe" sends us anything other than the meanings we create.
