I stopped watching when the idiot said "it doesn't affect your hearing."

That's bullshit. Sometimes mine builds up to where I have to remove most of it in order to hear...almost failed a hearing test once from it.

I can't, I have narrow canals so I irrigate my ears regularly otherwise they get blocked and impacted.

    Oddly, I have incredible hearing.

I look at a lot of ears, and the story continues... people will believe what they wanna believe.

Like most maintenance issues, this one affects some much more than others... I don't have much of a problem this way at all, but when I was a kid, I remember a guy who not only had dirty ears (you could notice), but he smelled because of it. (forget bad underarm odor... this was pretty rough for him). He had to go to a doctor and be treated with medication.

I remember other kids used to make fun of him because of it... just not something you forget.

I always impact my ears whenever I try to clean with Q-Tips. One of my biggest problems it does impact on it's own and I have to see my ENT to have it removed. We are all made differently so some of us have no problems with ear wax while others (like me) do.

exotosis occurs more often in swimmers. You may want to use swimplugs.

about 5 years ago I suspected a problem with wax in ears, went to get them drained, well the damn wax would not come out and the guy had to pull some crazy instrument out and keep jamming it into my ear...the size of the earwax that came out was simply enormous, you would never think something like that could fit in there

I just wanted to add: Earwax doesn't gross me out. It's my job.

However, the worst case of cerumen removal was having to get the clippers out so I could trim the ear hair before I could even get into the canal. That was bad. Poor guy.
