How can I stop my legs from growing either muscle or fat? I run and work out but legs just stay the same. I'm not doing squats or anything. Is it a hormone problem? I don't understand it

You're not going to get any help until you post some photos of your issue. icon_evil.gif

Bigger legs are never a problem. Ever. You may have some odd reason for wanting smaller legs but believe me, the outside world will only perceive them as more attractive than slimmer, skinnier legs.

    Any pics?
Are you sure it's muscle or fat? There are some diseases that could make certain body parts to become swollen.
If you're not doing anything they shouldn't be growing unless you're getting fat. But you would probably notice the weight difference.

i would die for bigger legs, because bigger legs means bigger thighs and they look very attractive in tight jeans.

Hmmmm...why no pics? Hard to judge what you're talking about without seeing your legs.

I've always had the same issue. It's genetic. If you're like me I'm sure you'd prefer to put on muscle easier in your chest or arms, we always long for the opposite of what we have, but eventually you just accept it, & try to see the positives. I'll bet you get complimented/questioned on your huge calfs huh? " dude, what do you do for your calfs? " haha. Truth is you probably don't have to do anything for them. So I say either work them hard, & just be the guy with the nice strong legs, or if you'd like them to minimize somewhat, but keep tone you can do a lot of long, but very low resistance cardio. It can be a bit tedious, but it will keep the over bulking at bay while not giving up on your workout.

You need to do Leg extentions and Calf Raises ... lots of them
try like 3 sets of 10 to 15 of each every other day and increase the weight 5 or 10 pounds on each set ... and on the calf raises on the last raise of each set just stand on your tip toes for like half a minute to a minute .. you should see some real good progress in 4 to 6 weeks ... remember, fitness is a lifetime routine

Also about every 6 weeks you want to take a complete week off from exercising all together. This will prevent your body from becoming accustom to the exercises which can slow down or stop your progression.
