POWELL: Not only am I uncomfortable with what Governor Romney is proposing for his economic plan, I have concerns about his views on foreign policy. The governor who was speaking on Monday night at the debate was saying things that were quite different from what he said earlier so I’m not quite sure which governor Romney we would be getting with respect to foreign policy.

Wise Words from one of the few men connected with the Dubya administration that I still respect.

topathlete saidNo big deal. He showed exactly what he is about when he endorsed Obama with absolutely no experience over McCain who had tons of experience and was a political moderate. Powell is a race-driven leftist. Read articles that said in the military he was known as someone who got ahead because he was articulate, because of his race and especially because he was a politically-motivated ass kisser. His endorsement is irrelevant.

SAYS the man with the BIRTHER THEORY.

We know your views on 'race'........and we look forward to never hearing them again after this election.

One good reason to vote for President Obama is that we can tell the BIGOTS to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Your time is over. America wants progress and we want to work together.

Of course, if Colin Powell were endorsing Romney, the lefties would all be reminding us how he was a left-over from the Bush era.

Now if we could just get a really big ship and ship all the racists back to where they came from ... but unfortunately, nobody wants them back

However you cut it, an endorsement for Obama from someone of Powell's standing is very useful:

"When he took over, the country was in very, very difficult straits. We were in one of the worst recessions we had seen in recent times, close to a depression. The fiscal system was collapsing. Wall Street was in chaos. We had 800,000 jobs lost in that first month of the Obama administration and unemployment would peak a few months later at 10%.

So we were in real trouble. The auto industry was collapsing. The housing industry was starting to collapse, and we were in very difficult straits. And I saw over the next several years stabilization come back in the financial community, housing is now starting to pick up after four years, it's starting to pick up. Consumer confidence is rising. So I think generally we've come out of the dive and we’re starting to gain altitude."

Here's a quote for the Romnesiacs:

"ONE DAY...ROMNEY HAS A CERTAIN STRONG VIEW ABOUT STAYING IN AFGHANISTAN, but then on Monday night....

    HE AGREES WITH THE WITHDRAWAL.

    Same thing in Iraq.

On every issue that was discussed on Monday night, Gov. Romney agreed with the president with some nuances.

But this is quite a different set of foreign policy views than he had earlier in the campaign,"

    - former Secretary of State Colin Powell, a Republican, in endorsing the president for re-election in an appearance on CBS This Morning.

    FACTS ARE FACTS.......

    MITT IS..........UNTRUSTWORTHY.

This just in! Clint Eastwood is about to tape a Romney ad. Maybe with multiple retakes they'll be able to make his endorsement sound coherent this time, and persuasive.

And of course his political opinion matters a great deal, and on issues like foreign policy, too. Even though he hasn't been in national government, nor been in the Cabinet, been the Secretary of State, been a 4-star Army general, or any of those things Powell has done, Eastwood has portrayed some of them on the screen, so that's good enough for Republicans. Call it the John Wayne effect.

I'ver never understood the value of "Celebrity Endorsements", esp the ones from Hollywood.

I place little value in the views and opinions of those who "play act" for a living; those who spend most of their waking moments pretending to be someone else.

It may be a good thing for Mitt Romney when anyone who is a holdover from the Bush administration is endorsing Obama. Even Colin Powell can't save the sinking ship that is the Obama presidency. The end of the Obama era is near.

I'm not surprised. After getting burned so badly by Republican foreign policy--being forced to look like a fool in front of the UN....

Mitt Romney's economic policies are just warmed over Bush economic policies. Romney's own campaign has said it's "the Bush plan, just updated." Talk about hold over from the Bush Administration.

In other news, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman, Jay Z & Beyonce´, The Winan Family, and 93% of the rest of African-American voters support Obama. Coincidence? I think not.

But he only did it because he's a Muslim.

Oh wait, because he wants abortions for women who have been blessed with a rape.

    Oh wait, because he's Black...

Or maybe because he's a wise and experienced man who has given the country 40 years of service and who has seen how the GOP has run off the tracks, and thinks Obama is the better man?
