Best Bum exercises?

Hey

I wonder what exercises you guys would recommend for well rounded (but not too big ;-) ) buttocks. Unfortunately my gym doesn't have one of those "push a plate with your leg" machines, so I am kind of limited to dumbbells unless there is anything other I could try??

How about deep squats? Since you are not looking for a big set of buns, you don't need to go heavy, and risk hurting your knees.

hip extension machine and stairmaster. If your gym has the "Butt Blaster" machine, use it -- it's named that for a reason

Nothing hotter than a guy with a small waist and a large muscled butt stretching out his jeans.

I think something to do with playing rugby results in it, at least that's what I see in my gym

There are a few sports that are particularly good for you too. Rugby's already been mentioned. I'll throw in a plug for fencing as well. It's amazing what repeatedly lunging will do for your rear.

olympic deadlifts (butt low to the ground)
lunges
stiff leg deadlifts or hyperextensions (holding extra weight) on a roman chair

don't do squats and olympic deadlifts the same day. Alternate them.
