Wis. bishop: Voters could put 'soul in jeopardy'

Ricken recently sent parishioners a letter saying voting for candidates who support what he calls "intrinsically evil" positions could "put your own soul in jeopardy."

Obama has already caved on the gays marriage issue or is he lying to get votes? But it shouldn't matter in a Democracy where the Congress makes the laws but both candidates are running for king.

You were already voting for a guy who hates gays, either way. You must feel vindicated to wake up every day and know that people share in your gay hating sentiment.

And so it goes; threaten people into doing something using eternal damnation as the method of coercion. No wonder so many have come to despise religions.

Watch out for cameras, too. They also steal souls.

I don't take moral hectoring from an agent of the Church of Paedophilia.
This is one time I agree with you 100%.

Ricken is welcome to his own stupid opinion.

In Washington, both Episcopal Bishops have been outspoken in favor of marriage equality. Your soul's in danger if you are the sort of person who wants to withhold equality and equal rights, in my opinion.

I hear that a majority of Catholics are in favor. So much for the hierarchy.

This peckerhead reminds me of Jerry Falwell. Although I disagree with the idea that things like gay marriage should be contingent on public vote, a necessary condition of any democracy is that all participants have to live with the outcome. If this Bishop's considers his 'soul' to be in jeopardy on a vote, then his well being must also be dependent on it. Chris Hitchens has a response to Falwell and it's sad that he's not around to provide commentary on people like this during this election: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIviufQ4APo
