Obama is the somewhat lesser of two evils. However, I am getting sick and tired of this goddamned democrat-republican duopoly governing the US. It is time to elect someone from one of the alternative political parties. It is time for fresh, new ideas rather than more of the democrat-republican same old-same old.

This. Though in truth, I feel both of them are equally evil for whatever reason. They're both going to be residing in the same circle of hell.

When you have only two parties, they tend to go to the extremes and the middle man gets left out. Only the loudest wins which is usually the most extreme. It's nonsensical.

A missed opportunity out of the past but it would have been Dick Cheney.

    Oh, jesus.
Where were you when he ruled from 2001 through 2008 ?

Obama is a good and decent man.
He was extremely naive in thinking he could work with the Republicans in Congress.
And, I wish he had emphasized job creation, instead of health care, when he had a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress.

    Romney is a real shyster.
He finds out what the voters want, whether he's in ultra liberal Massachusetts, or in the more conservative areas of the country, and he says, "Yep, that's me !"
It amazes me how much he can flip flop on pretty much ALL of the issues, yet he's still a contender for the presidency.
It shows how stupid the voters can be.

Hillary would be a fine president.

Cart before horse? She hasn't even proven she can win a senate race yet. Besides, Scott Brown may win this one in the end anyway.

I guess that would be the same for Mitt, hasn't proved anything except laying off thousands of hard working people and sending their jobs overseas.

Independents love to parrot this kind of unthinking lesser of two evils claptrap. With the exception of a handful of very, very important issues, both parties tend to govern from the center. The fact is there is a broad consensus across the country about what America stands for and what we believe in -- it's the reason why the places where we differ and have not been able to yet agree are so stark, glaring, and contentious.

Mitt Romney spent the bulk of the foreign policy debate agreeing with Obama. Even Obama's supposedly divisive healthcare plan is essentially what Republicans themselves proposed in response to Hillarycare. This shows that a lot of the fights in politics are just partisan theater.

Anybody who thinks third party platforms are full of bold, fresh, new ideas that are going to solve America's problems is just speaking out of his or her butt.

    The lesser of two evils???

    Let's see...

A war on false pretenses and the party wanted to keep it going

Or making healthcare more accessible to all citizens....

The "two-evils" comment is pure bunk!
