    You've got it - - - one of my favorite breakfasts: Steel cut oats mixed with a generous portion of healthy applesauce (no milk needed).

    Post your recipe for applesauce! I remember making applesauce with my kindergarten class. I think we baked apple halves with cinnamon on top and then we mashed them up. Memories icon_biggrin.gif

    Cut apples in medium sized pieces. Place in heavy saucepan with about two tablespoons, no more, of water and cook on medium low until done. A very small pinch of salt is optional. Cinnamon cloves, or nutmeg is also optional. Don't burn it!!

    It is about the simplest thing in the world to do. I like larger pieces of apples so it is chunky. Yum!

    In terms of emphasis, in the US you say "pass me the AAAPPLEsauce". Which sounds silly.

    In England we say "pass me the Apple SAUCE". Which is normal.
