The roar of Hurricane Sandy is past. All I'm hearing is a steady, gentle rain and the water coming down the downspout near my bedroom window. The house is still here and the electricity is still on. HA! I feel like Francis Scott Key the morning after the Battle at Fort McHenry. Somebody should write an anthem.

Oh say can you hear
In the calm of the night
What so greatly we feared
Would be blown away

And the house is still here
The electricity still flows
And the tree still stands
Thru the storm unblown

Boy, I didn't realize how loud that storm was ' til I lay here and listen to the quiet.
