Yes, we control the weather. And I think it's high time we leverage out power and demand greater respect...or next hurricane season we'll take out all of New England along with the rest of New York!

Why take out areas that generally are very accepting of GLBT people? Why not the headquarters of Focus on the Family or the Constitution Party or NOM?

Just some food for thought. ;)

Good point. The next hurricanes go to Mississippi and Alabama.

    Much better.

As long as the storms spare the New Orleans metro area where I live, things will be good.

GQjock: Thank the Deity that I don't think exists...

jockfever: It's amusing to see the lengths to which atheists will go, trying to convince themselves that nothing has supernatural meaning.

P.S. With about sixty dead, and maybe $50 billion worth of property damage, in the wake of Sandy, leave it to atheists to offer a whimsical treatment of hurricanes.

Funny how they never mention that shit when Gawd send those F-5 tornados straight through the BuyBull Belt and rips the foundations from the ground.

Atheists are famous for over and over again attempting to bend the truth for the sake of their own conviction.

    ...

    Oh wait.

jockfever: The Bible doesn't promise a rose garden in this life -- quite the contrary -- but rather in the next life. The Bible provides a basis for understanding the supernatural meaning of everything, including hurricanes. The Bible provided the first overview of the hydrologic cycle.

    What does atheism offer?

    (a) "Nothing created Everything" (b) "The universe created itself" (c) "Life in all its diversity arose by chance from non-life" (d) "We're all here by accident" (e) "Life has no ultimate meaning" (f) "There is no accountable right or wrong" (g) "Murder, theft, and rape are artificial moral constructs" (h) "He who survives longer, with the most orgasms, wins" (g) "Be your own god" (h) "The end justifies the means" (i) "Life is short, then you are obliterated" and (j) "No, you won't be seeing your loved ones again" (k) all of the above (l)?.

BTW, congrats on the make-over. Inspired by your belief system?

jockfever: At least we didn't get another sermon on man-made global warming....Oh wait.

"Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Pig Virus) Calls For Congressional Hearing On Links Between Global Warming And Hurricane Sandy…"

"A better idea for a congressional hearing would be to investigate how human and pig DNA was combined to form Henry Waxman."

HottJoe: (a-d) If life had to be created by life, then who created God? (e) My life has meaning. (f-g) No atheist believes in not holding murderers, theives and rapists accountable.icon_rolleyes.gif (h) It's religious people who believe that, because they are the ones who live in fear of being judged in the afterlife. (i-k) Just because you want to live forever, doesn't mean that you get to. You're going to die.

so you think the science that posits a link between climate change and stronger hurricanes due the the receding of sea ice resulting in warmer waters that allow for more moisture to construct more powerful hurricanes as predicated through simulations and all we know about meteorology is whimsical but an invisible, all-powerful being that sics hurricanes on people that causes rampant death and destruction is the logical and not whimsical choice? you must be friends with tammy brown.

That, and Mr Jockfever apparently finds it very christian of himself to mock another's appearance that apparently god gave them.
