So I know a lot of people have problems with their knees, but I never have. Until about a week ago. I haven't injured them at all, but for the past week they both hurt when I go to sit down. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

What kind of pain? Is it a sharp pain when you move or more of an achy, throb?
Does it hurt all the time or only when you are moving to a sitting position? Do they hurt any other time?

It could be anything from new shoes, to a change in the weather, to wear and tear. I'd gently rub them before bed and see if they feel better in the morning. More leg exercise might help, if you're not already getting enough, as long as your careful not to injure them.

    Causing this???

    You're OLD...

    Google [Bursitis]
Cold pack and aspirin, doesn't go away? What's your co-pay?

Er... sure it's not the case, but just for completeness sake...

Reactive arthritis can be a symptom of several STDs.

Perhaps it's all that kneeling at church? Is the pain on the outside of the knee? My partner just had a similar problem and turned out to be something called iliotibial Band Sydrome - Band that runs from hip down to shins gets inflamed right at the knee. Ice it several times a day and dont exercise till better. Good luck to you!

Not sharp. More dull and it only hurts when I'm sitting or standing up. I've always had good knees, so this is very new to me.
