This is disgusting. The administration at Princeton University ought to be publicly expsed for blindly supporting such hatred and ignorance. An ivy league university making money off such garbage. That is despicable.icon_mad.gif

This is really unacceptable coming from the administrators at Prinston.

Yeah, that's the way we'll make the world better - by spreading lies and hate.

This all stems from their massive inferiority complex against Harvard, right?

Haha. I think ten years ago, or so, Harvard had their own scandal involving institutionalized homophobia. I don't remember the details--just the disappointment I had in realizing that the most educated people in our country would cling to hateful superstitions. You just can't trust straight people of a certain generation, or religious background.

It is not as though Princeton cannot afford to be picky about its benefactors. It has an endowment of $17billion.

Or perhaps it got that rich by not being too picky.

To be fair, it's not actually the job of Princeton but the job of the editors of the journal to retract a rotten article. Administrative meddling in academic work is a strong no go area for most universities---with good reason. It allows work that may deeply criticize society to be performed.

I strongly sympathize that the research in question is awful, unethically performed and invalid. But I don't blame Princeton---I blame the people that conducted the study and the journal and editors that published it.

This is something that the relevant professional society should be addressing.

(also the article linked to is one of the worst written pieces I've read in a long time!)

This article is poorly written at an extreme level... I would use a critical eye and not just gobble this up at face-value.

The rest of the world isn't full of stupid people. If they can read, they're voting for Obama.
