The same thing was said about Will & Grace... I guess, the pen is mightier than the sword. icon_smile.gif

The new season is awesome! Modern family of course, I've never seen glee. This makes sense though. It gives ppl who don't have gay friends of know anyone who is gay a brief look into how they live. Regardless of the fact it is still Hollywood.

Great. Hopefully more shows depicting non-stereotypical gays are just around the corner too. Having people say, "really...you're gay? no way" and then staring at you to see if they can catch a feminine tendency is getting a little old....

I believe it. The only people with problems with gay marriage are the religous people and the old-school people.

Yay! It's true, I love these shows for that. Once it gets more widespread, people will just give it up. Before when it was rare to see a gay character on TV, that didn't help much except make the baby steps to where we are today. I remember seeing Kurt on glee for the first time and I was just blown away that there was a gay character on a show as a main character and had stories that didn't only revolve around being gay. It actually showed a gay person as just a person rather than GAY. Modern Family is doing a great job as well, hopefully The NEW Normal will help.

I hate when I hear this 'gay agenda' though, was there a 'black agenda' when black people started popping up on TV even though it was taboo for them to be on the air? Look at Nichelle Nichols on Star Trek. It was a huge controversy that a black woman was on TV, back when there was still heaps of racism. Look how far black people have come decades later. Hopefully the same path is what awaits gay people.
