    I agree I am not in favor of having it, but since that is what really counts then that is what needs to be look to see who is really leading.

    Agree. The national polls ARE misleading (though almost all of them trend with Obama leading, even if by a tight margin). In few does McCain lead, and if so it's just for short periods of time. Usually the best he can do is tie Obama, then he falls back.

    But the electoral college is where it's at. Look at any of the legit electoral college tracking sites, and all show Obama with a lead of varying amounts, some over the 270 needed to win.

    But we're still two months out.

    There's always a possible October surprise in store from the Republican camp. I expect with the recent actions by the US in Pakistan that maybe we'll finally "capture" bin-Laden.

    Nothing would surprise me. And, as I've said before, I'm not sure I have total faith in Democrats not losing this as they did with Gore or Kerry. They should have won those times, too.
