Obviously, this needs to be reported to the appropriate authorities and news agencies. It's not necessarily something that is wide-spread. It could be a technical glitch. Whatever it is, it needs to be investigated immediately and reported. Obviously, someone intentionally rigging a machine like this would be kind of lame since it's so clearly and easily discovered as is evidenced by this being caught earlier on in the election day. I hope no one on either side wants to win this thing dishonestly. That would be a real shame

I seriously doubt either of these reports is evidence of intentional fraud. Faulty machines, perhaps. In any event, it should be investigated no matter WHICH way the reported error goes.

I'm just glad that the authorities seem to be on this pretty quickly. Cheating in an election is just wrong.

I can't imagine who would be stupid enough to not notice if the other candidate is being selected when they choose one. They aren't just going to walk away without making sure the candidate they want elected is the one they voted for. Hopefully the issue is getting resolved though because it could really slow down the process.

I was looking for a more complete report and found it, incredibly, on Fox News.

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/06/judge-issuing-order-to-reinstate-booted-philadelphia-election-officials/

"Despite the high number of officials who were allegedly booted, the dispute itself is not uncommon for Philadelphia. Fred Voigt, legal counsel for the city c commissioners, said these kinds of face-offs happen "with regularity" in the City of Brotherly Love. "It happens all the time," Voigt said. He said court-appointed Republican officials typically show up on Election Day and end up squaring off against stand-in officials at the polling sites filling in the open seats. Part of the problem, he said, is that the Republican inspectors are appointed on relatively short notice, leading to a string of confrontations on Election Day. "There are no cool heads here," Voigt said."

Sound like a stupid clusterfuck, regardless.

    its probably a calibration issue.

Touch screens suck. they should use a # based keypad, or a cursor based keyboard to select.

the video shot doesnt show the person trying different parts of the box.

That's correct. Also in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada and North Carolina.
