It's been a long time in coming and the day is FINALLY here. There's been much infighting and back and forth sniping through it all, but at the end of the day let's remember that we are all in this together and that we are all Americans. Obviously, by this evening, some of us are going to be ecstatic, and some of us disappointed. Hopefully the meltdown will stay reasonably civil.

just got back from poll observing this morning in a heavy democratic ward in the city of Milwaukee and the election official mentioned to me that voter turnout was a little down from 2008. Also hearing from heavy republican areas in the state that voter turnout now is expected to be RECORD numbers!

    Wisconsin suprise tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, except for those Canadians and that Brit guy who post on here about American politics 24 / 7 / 365. A pity they can't find anything to interest them in their own country.

I get same vibe as I did for the Walker recall....repubs, conservatives and tea party crushed the ballot box. Same thing happening here for Romney/Ryan.

When you say Wiiiiiisconsin....you've said it all!!

I am trying to find some evidence of a meltdown, without success.

I hope for a 269-269 tie so America totally flips out. Get rid of the electoral college so my vote means more.

Here is to 4 more years of failed policies by whoever wins and massive spending and a growing federal government.

Sadly, I believe you are correct and should Romney win, it will just slow down the rate of spending increases.

The Milwaukee Sentinel Journal is reporting a "huge rush" of morning voters and 50 minute waits in the city.

Wisconsin State Journal is reporting high turnout in Madison.

Maybe if everyone in Waukesha county shows up to vote...

I'm not much of a photoshopper and couldn't match the skin tone so I just went with green for envy.
