Now Mariano Rajoy can shut up and move on to other business.

Just need some jobs in Spain so that gay couples can afford to get married!

Random peeve: isn't it odd that gay marriage is always represented by male couples, and never female?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. There are current cases with women represented with Prop 8, DOMA, etc. There were women represented with the repeal of DADT.

It may also make the stronger and unambiguous visual image, in relation to the story, to have the hands both male. In many parts of the world females hold hands without any sexual implications. When I lived in Germany it was common to see straight women walking hand-in-hand.

But far fewer straight men hold hands. So that a photo of clasped male hands is more likely to imply gay, than female hands would imply lesbian.

I know. I just feel like the support posters, as well as the tv personalities, are more often gay than lesbian. Not a big deal, just a notice.

I see...that is because they are made by gay men. I probably have a lot more gay men on my fb page than I do lesbians or transgenders.

It probably has something to do with the fact that this isn't a site for gay women

Yep. We have had people on this site telling women and transgenders that they are not really welcome here.

Probably. Unemployment in the 18-35 age group is over 50% in many parts of the country, which has resulted in a number of those people leaving Spain for Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina to find work.

Yeah, I heard that their economy tanked. The world is upside down right now.

The real question that lingers in my mind: will Catalunya finally become an independent state out of all this?

Oh, I'm not talking about same-sex marriage in Catalunya or Spain now. I was simply wondering about Catalunya's push for independence because of the economic troubles. Totally derailed the thread icon_lol.gif
