Agreed. But it's not going to happen unless we have

    a) Proportional representation, or

    b) Run-off elections.

But the 2 dominant parties would never go for that, so it would have to be done via voter initiative on the state and local levels.

Your wish has been granted Herman; it's called the Constitution Party and they believe in the exact same things you and all of the far-right Repubs do. I'm afraid, Herman, that any other third party would be too liberal and Godless.

Herman Cain thinks Mitt Romney was too moderate. His kind of a third party would be one farther to the right than Republicans. That kind of a third would never have much influence. A lot of people in this country like to describe themselves as economically conservative and socially liberal. Neither the Republicans or the Democrats usually give voters both of those things in most of their candidates and most of the smaller parties in this country are either more conservative or more liberal than two big parties. Most of these third parties are not what most Americans are looking for.

We already have all kinds of third parties.
But, their candidates rarely get much traction, mainly because they tend to be somewhat loony on the issues, or loony, in general.

FYI, Herman - you right-wingers already have a third party.
    It's called the Tea Party.
And it's even more unpopular than the GOP.

If the damn Repubs think they can pull the SAME trick they pulled after the 2008 election - and rebrand their same old crappy unpopular policies and agenda under a shiny new name - no fucking way.

The Repubs may have succeeded at rebranding themselves as the Tea Party and getting folks to vote for them in 2010 - but trying to use the same trick again in 2014 won't work.

    The GOP really is pathetic.
