Final Electoral College tally: Obama 332, Romney 206. So much for the Romney avalanche predicted by the RJ conservaposse here, all the tick-tocking and liberal heads exploding. icon_biggrin.gif

I think the RJ conservaposse needs to see this again, after all the abusive, taunting & insulting Hell they put everyone through here for most of the last year, the final results after Florida decided today:

    OBAMA - 332 Electoral Votes

    ROMNEY - 206

I love it that Obama also won Virginia as well. Things are starting to look better in the old dominion state.

They should refer to them as the stupid wing.

That's become implied in the Republican Party, and the Teabaggers the RJ conservaposse champions are not merely stupid, they are seriously delusional and dangerous.

Did anyone else see the interactive election tool that NY Times put up? It looked at all the different paths to the White House started with the winner in Florida. If Obama won Florida, Romney would have had to jump through flaming hoops over a snake pit to win.

Of course it takes forever here to count votes. Provisional ballots, absentee ballots from Lower Elbonia, whatever.....First of all, we must get some sort of reform in place here and as I said in another forum, all bottom feeder, down the ballot races need to be decided in the August primary...and why not throw the Amendments on the primary ballot too!!

The famed "I-4 Corridor" is no longer. Named for the interstate highway running from Daytona Beach, through Orlando, west to Tampa used to be the "swing" part of the state. No longer! Orange (Orlando) and Osceola (Kissimmee) Counties were well over 60 percent for Obama and that trend continued right from 2008. Hillsborough (Tampa) was solid for the President and the only Romney counties were Volusia (Daytona Beach--which flipped from Obama in '08 to Romney this time) and Polk (Lakeland/Redneck Cross Burner Country).

Allen West is GONE and Alan Grayson RETURNS to Congress!!

Democrats didn't take back the State House or Senate as those are still in Republican hands, but we made healthy strides to make it even closer, or win them both back in 2014. We will also rid ourselves of Toxic Governor Rick Scott and all Republican Florida Cabinet members in '14 as well.

We now have two openly gay members of the Florida State House with the election of Joe Saunders from Orlando (he's cute too).

Lastly, people are calling for the Department Of Justice to investigate the Governor's office for election tampering and disenfranchisement. That could get Scott out of the Governor's chair a little sooner than 2014, if it's pushed hard enough.

We have more than our share of problems here, but I'm really proud to be a progressive liberal Florida Democrat.
